DJ Buddha LuvJonz (Laos/USA)

Born and raised in Bridgeport, CT. He is a graduate of Central High School (Bridgeport, CT) and also from the University of Connecticut with a degree in mass communications and marketing. Within the entertainment industry and among his peers, many people recognized Adrian by his stage name, Buddha LuvJonz. His deep appreciation for music and art has given him valued opportunities that has been displayed through his talents as a poet, DJ, actor, and designer; an all-around individual with a great passion for the art of self-expression.

Adrian felt that there was a major need for a platform to rejoice your creative force and the passion for change that would help breakdown a monotonous society, thus LUVJONZ ENTERTAINMENT, LLC was formed in 2008. It was solely created to help provide an outlet for art, music, poetry and fashion.the beginning of a movement, building a strong foundation to help uplift an artistic revolution within our generation that has been forgotten and left unheard.

Zee Santiago

Zee Santiago is a rising Hip Hop artist and an ambassador of Hip Hop culture. He has already achieved success in the industry opening for stars such as Drake, Big Sean, Lupe Fiasco, Fabolous, Red Café, Travis Porter, Camron, Juelz Santana, Mario, Skyzoo, Emilio Rojas, Mike Jones, Dj Unk, K’naan, & KRS-One. Zee shared the stage with these artists at legendary music venues like the Apollo Theater, SOB’s (Sounds of Brazil), New Yorican Poetry Café, Bowery Poetry Club, and Toad’s Place. He has also performed at renowned educational institutions such as Yale University, Trinity College, and Tufts University. Over the last eight years, Santiago has received media coverage from the BBC, NPR, The New York Post, The Hartford Advocate, The Chicago Tribune, and URB magazine for his music and contributions to Hip Hop culture.

In addition to moving audiences with his music, Zee inspires those around him as a grassroots organizer and distinguished brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. After being awarded a full tuition scholarship to Trinity College by the Posse Foundation, Zee founded the first college chapter of KRS-One’s Temple of Hip Hop, co-organized the Annual Trinity International Hip Hop Festival, and completed his undergraduate degree in Anthropology. Always seeking an outlet to satisfy his passion for music and to learn more about the business, Zee successfully completed internships at TVT Records (2004-2005) and Atlantic Records (2008).

Zee Santiago recently completed his Master’s degree in American Studies at Trinity College, focusing on music and establishing himself as a Hip Hop academic. While pursuing his advanced degree he remained involved in organizing and performing at Hip Hop events throughout the north east. Zee worked with Hip Hop luminaries such as Jeff Chang (author of Can’t Stop Won’t Stop), Charlie Ahern (Director of Wildstyle), Byron Hurt (Director of Hip Hop Beyond Beats & Rhymes) and Hip Hop pioneers like Grandmaster Caz, Tony Tone of The Cold Crush Brothers, DJ Disco Wiz, and Pop Master Fable of Rock Steady Crew.

Mikal Lee aka Hired Gun (New York)

THE HIRED GUN is a Hip Hop/Spoken Word educator, and performer extraordinaire. An affiliate of the American based International Hip Hop label Nomadic Wax, and head of “Fresh Roots”…his music and workshops have a specific focus: Roots, Truth, and Culture. Born in New Jersey and raised on Black pride, middle class numbness, a steady diet of racism, and DJ Red Alert, Hired Gun is beats, rhymes, and life for the everyman woman and child, “HG” can’t be fit into a corner or a box. The “educated hater, educator highly rated”, has not only traveled the world bringing real hard beats and real rap, but also works with youth while keeping the music fun and positive at the same time.

In 2008 he released “The People’s Verses” a critically acclaimed album recognized by such taste makers as Wake your Daughter up, Rhymehouse, Ohword, HipHopinformant and Hip Hop Linguistics with various cuts and music videos from the album getting exposure and being selected for year end awards. He also has been selected as one of URB magazine’s Next 1000 and recognized by 90.3 radio, The Voice of Harlem as 2009’s “Best New Artist on the Come up”. “HG” has appeared alongside legends, Rob Swift, Slick Rick, Fat Lip, J-Live, WordsWorth, Breezevahflowin and The Last Poets, in such famous venues as the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Bowery Poetry Cafe, and the famed ARCA Theater in the Czech Republic. Since 2008 Hired Gun has toured extensively in Eastern Europe and South America. Most recently, during the summer of 2010 in support of his collaboration album “Skillz to Take Brazil” w/ partner Rabbi Darkside, and international artists from France and Brazil.In 2012, Hired Gun has released two EP’s “The Hits and Pieces” and later in 2012 will release a third EP, “The Hard Ship” which is a prologue to the upcoming full length album, “#niceguysfinish” due out in the fall of 2012.

Hired is also a arts educator for Urban Word NYC and Nomadic Wax spreading his message to question what’s going on in the world around you, to recognize the real, and work to make things better, starting with yourself.
